Emily Voigt
I am a journalist based in New York City specializing in science and culture. My stories have appeared in the New York Times, Mother Jones Magazine, Isotope, and OnEarth Magazine, as well as on the programs Radiolab and This American Life. An essay I wrote about the preposterous world of biologically engineered art is featured in the Summer 2010 issue of The Wilson Quarterly. Most recently, I spent time reporting on a legendary fish from Borneo with the aid of a Pulitzer Traveling Fellowship.
I hold degrees in English literature and journalism from Columbia University. Previously I was an associate editor for philosophy, classics and religion at Oxford University Press. I particularly enjoy writing for young readers and love to speak to students at schools around New York.
I would be happy to hear from you at Emily.Voigt [at] gmail.com.
